Hammer
So here is a couple pics of the hammer I have been working on. Finally complete!!
It is a hammer made specifically for the adjustment of handplanes, A wooden face to not mark the wooden sections of the plane, and a copper face to not mark the steel sections of the plane.
I’m hoping both faces will age really well, with tarnishing and slight beauty dents.
Got introduced to the Mill during production of this hammer, did some silver brazing of the copper with the proper sized Oxy(instead of the micro torch for jewellery). And also learnt a way to seat a hammer head without the use of any wedges. Let’s hope it stays on as I was told it would. Lewis
